Voting Results of the Sixth Prime

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Yesterday the voting results for the three nominees Nazem, Yahia and Serag were revealed at the end of the prime just like always. The audience votes saved Yehia sweis from Jordan witha percentage of 60.54% to leave Mohamed Serag from Egypt and Nazem Ezzideen from Lebanon hanging there in the middle of Star Academy stage for their friends voting. It started with like 4 votes to Nazem and nothing to Serag, then things imediately took another turn. Students start voting for Serag to leave the last three votes to Lara, Tania, and then finally to Aya who saved Serag with a one overall winning vote! It was hard for Nazem, but he took in the results with a smile. Abdel Aziz for example was extremly shocked specially that he and Nazem are good friends, while Lara cried alot, specially for chosing Serag over her friend Nazem just because she cannot name Nazem while an Egyptian guy is standing against him.. We will miss you alot Nazem :)

Mothers surprise at the fifth prime of Star Academy season6

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

The Students got a surprising visit from their Mothers on stage of Star Academy. The Moms were glad to see their daughters and sons and thanked Madam Rola Saad for arranging their visit. They also found the gesture extremely generous specially that it was just a day before Mother’s Day. The students also were extremely happy to meet their mothers after almost 50 days away from their homes, friends, and families.

Nomination through Chocolate Bars

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009
nomination-of-season-6-students-fourth-week

This week the nomination news came through chocolate bars

Well, it was tough this week. Ibrahim from Kuwait was sure that he will be nominated this week, which gave the Academy a reason to make it harder for him. He was asked to bring a Bar of Chocolate that was hidden under his bed pillow and read the name written inside it’s wrapping paper. His name was written there, but Ibrahim is not nominated!

inass-reacted-peacefully-for-her-second-nomination

Then it was Inass' turn, she was kind of relaxed and accepted the news of her nomination with a smile and later asked if it was okay to eat her chocolate..

Later it was Tania’s turn with the chocolate thingy, she stayed anxious specially after she was told that the second nominated person is one of the four Lebanese inside the academy, which is revealed later as “Nazem from Lebanon”. Minutes after, it was Mohamed Serag’s turn to face his share of the nomination stress. He was asked again to seek the paper hidden inside the “Sugar Jar”. His name was written on the paper just to tease him a bit. The third nominated student was Zaher from Tunis; which left them all in a shock. Inass started crying at this point in what seems an emotional sincere reaction to the news of her home-town friend nomnation, e.i; Zaher Zorgati!!

Third Teachers’ evaluation on each student

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Nasser rapped in Arabic a song about war and Palestine.
Wadi’ thought that Nasser is better when it comes to singing on stage where he brings out his energy.
Mohamed Serag sang a patriotic song “Matat Oloub el Nas”.
Michel Fadel thought that although Serag is trying his best to show his capabilities, he is still week and needs more training.
Zaher Sang “Gaza Tonight”
Madam Mary thought that Zaher’s voice is getting better with time. She also said that with him being at the academy, he will be more impressing.

Michel Rmeih sang a song about travelling accompanied with Aya.
Wadi’ thought that Michel’s voice is beautiful but he still performs the song without feeling the words or giving any expression related to the lyrics.

Noura sang “habibi ya kolel Haya”
Michel Jaber thought that Noura is very week compared to other students and when it comes to the stage she doesn’t think right.

Khawla sang a sad Aids-related song
Alissar thought that Khawla is extremely shy which affects her learning abilities.
Basma sang a french song.
Michel Fadel thought that Basma’s voice is beautiful and that she did well in singing french, but he still likes her more when she sings Arabic.

Diala sang “Lolal Malama”
Wadi thought that Diala is not focusing through training nor through lessons which is automatically affects her singing skills
Inass sang “Youm leek”
Mr Fouad Fadel thought that Inass was not as good as everytime and that her performance was just normal.

Then finally Diala gave her opinion about the students eval;
She named the three worst students -in her opinion- : Noura, Nazem, and Serag

Wadi thought that Basma’s voice is beautiful but she still has a problem in pronouncing the lyrics.
Michel Fadel thought that Yahia scared him while performing this song, and that he screamed his voice out while singing.
