As part of the promotional campaign, Lara Scandar hosted a “GLAM” party where many of her “starac” were invited. The event was held on February 4th 2010 at what seemed a private residence in Cairo. Many familiar faces where seen during the event like Bash, Ibro, Sirag, Nasser Abo Lafi, Nader Quirat, Mohammad Attieh, and Mr. Wadi’ Abi Raed.
Other guests included Lebanese singer and actress Haifa Wehbe and producer and musician Jean-Marie Riachi. A noted appearance was that of Mohamad Bash, who looked extremely handsom and had his share of some poses taken beside the princess.
The “Mission is you” record was launched almost a day prior to the party at Virgin Stores in Cairo, where Lara was there herself and signed autographs “just as any other celebrity”. The event included a press conference as well, where the “CD” producer, Jean-Marie Riachi praised Lara for being a dedicated singer who has both the talents and the looks!! Lara Scandar, one of the very remembered graduates of season6, has addressed fans on her own Facebook page with the following; “I hope you can all make it on the 3rd of Feb. at Virgin, City Stars starting 4pm. I’ll be releasing and signing my CD- My new single ‘ Mission Is You’. See you there.” Today, Lara is expected to show up at Virgin stores, where the place is already filled with posters of her promotional photo shoot, promising earlier to sign the CD herself.
As for her first video-clip ever, Lara has been working hard to deliver something worth watching! The Mission-Is-You campaign will start in hours within the walls of Virgin stores in Cairo and later on Music-dedicated TV channels as well!
Starting months ago, Lara hired an award winning director, Ray Kay, who is also one of the most well-known talents behind a video camera in Los Angeles. Recently, Kay worked with American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, on his video “For Your Entertainment”. Shooting in the middle of Los Angeles, Lara did an amazing job, take a look at the “make of” below.
Mohamad Bash celebrates Christmas his own way!
Saturday, December 19th, 2009Star Academy6 graduate, Mohammed Bash, is double performing for Christmas in both Damascus and Aleppo “دمشق و حلب” on December 25th and 27th 2009. This Christmas Eve is going to be a special date for both Moh’d Bash and his fans, not because it is his first official concert, but because it is going to be a-one-of a kind party as well. It was reported that Bash will be singing some of his fans’ most loved songs, including those in English. A DJ will be playing the intro of the party, as well as a surprise event which Bash didn’t agree to reveal.
Both concerts will include huge monitors for those who won’t get a chance to have a front-class seats. The halls should be able to manage over 1000 people, and tickets are already being sold at “Inhouse Cafe”. Bash will start in Damascus on the 25th of December at Al Zahraa Cinema theater, and then will be in Aleppo at Dar al Tarbeya on the 27th of December 2009.

It is obvious that not only we “as Arabs” are somewhat interested in Turkish famous actors and singers. A week ago, a few of Star Academy students were invited to participate in a well-known Turkish TV program. Cynthia Karam, Nadir Quirat, Nazem Ezzeddine, IbrahimDashti, and Basma Bossell have all arrived to Turkey in-order to be there for their Turkish fans! The program is a light-comedy cooking-challenge based, where the stars cook some dishes live and then one of them is chosen as a winner. It was said that Mirhan Hussein was invited along with the students, but she had to apologize because she had other commitments.

Later, it was revealed that Mima couldn’t join the group because of her brother’s wedding. The wedding was celebrated by friends and family members, and Mirhan looked as gorgeous as ever with a green strapless dress!!

As for some fresh news, Star Academy season Five graduate Mostafa Mezhar has just finished filming his new single video-clip “Sobak Rayeh” which means “Coming towards You”. Mostafa has chosen famous director Randly Kdaih and the song is expected to be seen on Music-related channels next week. The song tells the story of a lover who misses his loved one after departing from her, he becomes ready to let go of everything and get back to his lover.

Mirhan Hussein, the Egyptian student of LBC Star Academy season 5, has celebrated her birthday with family and friends at the Fairmont Heliopolis Hotel in Cairo on October 28th 2009. Mirhan, who has just turned 27, wore a beautiful blue dress, to be as stylish as ever. Among those who attended the golden-balloon theme party were Tamer Hosni, post-graduate Star Academy students like Mohamad Serag, Lara Scandar, Mohamad Kammah, Anis, and Sally Hussein. Here at StarAcademy2009 we wish Mirhan a life full of happiness.

As mentioned earlier by StarAcademy2009.com team. Nasser is the official presenter of the gladiators of LBC channel. The competition program which is an extension of the original English and American version is currently airing every Thursday on LBC Sat and LBCI.
Nasser Abo Lafi ” who is a recent graduate student of the same channel’s program star academy season6″ who was best known as the first rapper joining the academy last season, is now pursuing a career as a presenter. A unique kind-of presenter lets say. Now, we got to see Nasser shouting his voice out without feeling that its out of place!
